A “ladies’ gym” was inaugurated by a dignitary in Kishtwar.

KISHTWAR, April 14: A first of its kind, a Ladies Gym & Fitness Club was inaugurated here at Char Chinar Kuleed Chowk today by Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma in the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police Shafqat Hussain Bhat and SHO Abid Bukhari.
About 100 housewives, girls, and media representatives were present during the event. This well-equipped women’s health and fitness club called “KayaKalp” was founded by Manisha Manu, an author and the first female journalist of the Kishtwar district, under the start-up scheme.
Manisha Manu founded this facility due to the high demand from ladies, housewives, and young girls who don’t feel comfortable going to the male-only fitness center.
The DC and SSP congratulated Manisha on her novel initiative in the field of women’s empowerment and empowerment.
Manisha said that the motive behind establishing such facilities is to channel the energy of aspiring young girls in the right direction and sharpen their talent in sports and gymnastics. The women of the area also appreciated Manisha Manu’s efforts to provide such a facility.
